3 Easy Exercises That You Can Do on Your Travels

For many people who want to get fit, joining a gym simply isn’t possible, especially if you are on the road. There is good news however, there are plenty of exercises that you can do in any open space that will yield results and help to get you in shape. Sometimes all it takes is 30 minutes a day to help you feel and look good and here are some great exercises that don’t require equipment, just a little space and plenty of desire.

Press-ups

Press-ups are an excellent way of building up core strength, shoulder muscles and biceps, the basic principle of a press-up is that you lift your body up and down, with the weight of your body being taken by your arms and toes. It is the arms that do the work here and it may seem difficult at first. A couple of things to remember is that when you sink your body down, your nose should practically touch the floor before lifting yourself up again, remember that 5 correct press ups will do you far more good that 20 incorrect press-ups, start off small with as many as you can do and aim to build it up each day.

Planks

Planking is one of the best ways to build up core strength and an even better way of getting those abs you’ve been looking for. To make a plank you should lay face down, put your hands together in front of your face, push your elbows out, raise your legs and take the strain on the body on your your elbows. Form is important here and you should ensure that your body is as straight as it can be, you should feel the strain on your arms and your core, if you don’t feel this then move your body until you feel it. Like the burpees, planking in the Tabata method is the best way to see results and you will be amazed at how quickly you will improve after a short time of planking each day.

Burpees

The burped is a bit of a killer, but the reason for this is that it is helping you in so many ways, a burpee involves a squat thrust then into a star jump and repeat. Burpees will not only help with leg, shoulder and arm strength but will also build your cardio up. One of the best ways to exercise with burpees is through a style called Tabata which is where you exercise in 20 second intervals 8 times, with a 10 second rest in-between. This high intensity interval training is proven to build muscle mass faster and increase your cardio levels. Brutal yes, but the burpee will give you quick results if you commit to daily exercises.

Naturally if you are looking to body build or lose vast amounts of weight then these home exercises will only help you to that end and not completely revolutionise your body on their own. If you are simply looking to tighten up your body or stay in shape then doing these exercises every day will give you exactly what you are looking for.
